Addresses on your domain

you@yourcompany.com, plus one for every person on your team.

Authentication handled

SPF, DKIM and DMARC are generated per domain and checked for you.

Any mail app

Standard IMAP and SMTP, so Apple Mail, Outlook and your phone just work.

Nothing reads your mail

No ad profiling, no scanning of message contents, no training on your inbox.

Setup

The DNS part, done for you

Most mail problems start with a record that was never added or was typed in wrong. Mailo generates every record your domain needs and keeps checking them against public DNS until each one is right.

  • One TXT record proves the domain is yours before anything is set up
  • MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC generated per domain
  • Live status for each record, so you can see what is still missing

Checked live against public DNS — fix the red one and press refresh.

Your apps

Not locked to our interface

Every mailbox is plain IMAP and SMTP. Use our webmail when you are on someone else's computer, and your usual mail app the rest of the time.

Your mail is not a data source

We do not read message contents, build advertising profiles, or hand your mailbox to a model for training. You pay for the service, so you are not the product being sold.

No ad profiling

Nothing about your mail feeds an advertising system.

Encrypted in transit

TLS on every connection, in and out.

Yours to take

Download everything over IMAP whenever you want.

Three steps

Running in an afternoon

  1. 1

    Add your domain

Paste the domain you own. We hand you one TXT record that proves it is yours.

  2. 2

    Publish the records

MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC are generated for you. The dashboard checks them live until each one turns green.

  3. 3

    Create your mailboxes

Each address works immediately in our webmail and in any mail app you already use.

Pricing

Free for everyone

There is no paid tier and nothing to upgrade to. The limits below exist to keep the service usable for everybody, not to sell you something.

The daily sending limit is the one rule we cannot relax: every mailbox here shares one sending reputation, and an unlimited free tier is exactly what spam operations look for. Gmail caps free sending for the same reason.

FAQ

Questions people ask first

Anything else, write to support@mailo.so — a person answers.

Do I need to own a domain already?

Yes. Mailo hosts mail for a domain you own — buy one anywhere, then point its DNS at us. We do not sell domains.

Can I move my existing mail across?

You can connect your old mailbox in any IMAP client alongside the new one and drag messages over. A guided import is on the roadmap.

What happens if I stop paying?

Mail keeps being delivered during a grace period and you keep full access to download everything over IMAP before anything is removed.

Will my mail actually reach people?

Every domain gets DKIM signing and correct SPF and DMARC records, which is what receiving servers check. Sending limits keep the shared reputation clean for everyone.

Is it really free?

Yes — there is no paid plan and no card. The only limits are on how much you can use at once: three domains, ten mailboxes and a hundred outgoing messages a day. Those caps protect the sending reputation that every mailbox here shares.

Can I use my own mail app instead of your webmail?

Yes. Every mailbox is standard IMAP and SMTP. Nothing is locked to our interface.
